Integrity is not just a concept. Integrity is crucial for Marathon Oil to successfully compete, maintain our license to operate, and protect our reputation, our colleagues, and our assets.

We each have an obligation to uphold the highest level of ethics, honesty, and integrity. It is important that each one of us — along with our stakeholders and business partners — knows what we stand for and what our position is when it comes to ethical business conduct and acting with integrity.

Therefore, we must follow Marathon Oil’s requirements for ethical behavior and integrity as summarized in our Code of Business Conduct. This includes understanding our responsibilities under the Code and holding ourselves and others accountable for following the Code.

Remember, we have several resources within Marathon Oil to ask Code-related questions or to raise actual or potential Code concerns. These resources include our managers, the Marathon Oil organizations referenced in each section of the Code, Marathon Oil’s Compliance and Ethics organization, and Marathon Oil’s Integrity Helpline.

If you have Code-related questions or concerns, please speak up and reach out. We want to hear from you.

I appreciate your continued commitment to maintaining Marathon Oil’s high level of integrity.
